Synergies Migrations’ team is based in Paris and Lyon. External researchers and experts also contribute to Synergies Migrations’ activities.
Synergies Migrations’ partners play an active role in the implementation of the activities of the organisation. This collaborative approach enhances the impact of Synergies Migrations' work, while also ensuring its relevance for all stakeholders.
Nadine CAMP
Nadine Camp is the Co-Director of Synergies Migrations. Nadine holds a law degree. She worked previously for human rights and refugee assisting NGOs. Through these roles she conducted several field missions in Africa and Eastern Europe. From 2018 to 2022, she served as an independent expert, supporting NGOs, local authorities, and international organizations in project development and evaluation as well as on research on migrant reception policies and practices.
Matthieu TARDIS
Matthieu Tardis is the co-Director of Synergies Migrations. He has been working on asylum and immigration issues since 2005. He first worked at France terre d’asile, overseeing research and advocacy on French and European asylum policies. From 2015 to 2023, he was a researcher and then Head of the Centre of Migration and Citizenship at the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri). Since 2019, he teaches international migration at Sciences po Lille.
Lucie FEUTRIER-COOK
Lucie Feutrier-Cook is a consultant for Synergies Migrations. She has held leadership positions in several French solidarity organizations. Now a consultant as an expert in migration and asylum policies, she supports NGOs and public authorities in developing new projects and advocacy strategies. She also gives trainings and teaches at the University of Lille and the Catholic Institute of Paris. In addition, she serves as a judge at the French National Court of Asylum.

Caroline GUIMOND, President
Caroline Guimond is a former Minister-Counsellor and a career diplomat. Caroline Guimond represented Canada for three decades on migration and refugee protection issues and managed immigration programmes worldwide. She is now still active in promoting best practices in migrant reception, integration, and inclusion, particularly within Francophone countries. She is an expert advisor at the Metropolis Institute and serves on the Advisory Committee for Refugee Student Reception at the University of Ottawa.
Hélène SOUPIOS-DAVID, Treasurer
With over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Hélène Soupios-David is a specialist in advocacy on issues related to migration, human rights, and international solidarity. Currently Director of Advocacy at CCFD-Terre Solidaire, she works on matters linked to economic justice, food sovereignty, and migration. She has both European and French-level experience, gained at the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE), and later at France terre d’asile, where she held several positions, including Director of Advocacy, International Affairs, and Community Engagement.
Souzan ADLO
Souzan Adlo, a trainer and teacher of French as a Foreign Language (FLE), has been working since 2018 with the association SAMA (Services Accompagnement Migrants Auvergne). Between 2018 and 2023, she also collaborated with the OEPRE program (Opening Schools to Parents for Children’s Success), further strengthening her commitment to supporting migrant communities. In 2018, in Clermont-Ferrand, she took part in the European CoLAB project, aimed at facilitating the inclusion of refugees in higher education. Since then, she has been leading an open teaching unit dedicated to migration issues, a topic that is particularly close to her heart. Actively involved with La Cimade, Souzan was a laureate of the Academy for the Participation of Refugees in 2022.
Sylvain CAMUZAT
Since 2006, Sylvain Camuzat has been the Director of the Villeurbanne Association for Housing Rights, specializing in social support for inadequate housing. Previously, he spent ten years managing an reception centre for asylum seekers at Forum Réfugiés, working to support and assist refugees, defend the right to asylum, and promote the rule of law. A graduate of Pierre Mendès France University in Grenoble (Postgraduate degree in History, Law, and Human Rights), he has developed expertise in the prevention of and fight against discrimination in the field of housing.

Jean-Marc VAREILLE
Jean-Marc VAREILLE Originally trained as a teacher and an activist in popular education, Jean-Marc Vareille has been involved since 2014 in implementing public policies on asylum and integration in the Corrèze department, serving the State. Currently Head of the Employment, Solidarity, and Integration Department within the DDETSPP of Corrèze (Departmental Directorate for Employment, Labor, Solidarity, and Population Protection), he continues to oversee these public policies.

Its partners reflect the diversity of actors involved in issues of asylum, immigration, and integration: public authorities, NGOs, local authorities, businesses, foundations, citizen groups, and migrants themselves.Synergies Migrations fosters constructive dialogue among these stakeholders and initiates operational activities with them, including in collaboration with its financial supporters.
