Built in collaboration with stakeholders, Synergies Migrations’ research aims to lead to the implementation of concrete actions that contribute to improving policies and practices for the reception and inclusion of migrants.
Synergies Migrations supports and works with actors involved in asylum and immigration in order to identify and implement innovative initiatives.
Activist Women in Exile
The Activist Women in Exile project (Femmes exiles engages – FEE) aims to develop a response tailored to the specific challenges faced by women changemakers forced into exile, and to support and raise the visibility of their socially driven initiatives. This experimental project is based on a collective dynamic: it is co-designed and implemented by several partner organizations, with the active participation of engaged exiled women and the support of an alliance of foundations.

Citizen Hosting Observatory in the Rhône
Citizen-based hosting now plays an important role in the reception of migrants. However, it remains largely invisible, and the individuals and groups involved are rarely included in discussions and decision-making processes concerning migrant reception. To address these challenges, Synergies Migrations launched the Citizen Hosting Observatory in the Rhône.
Developing Sustainable Legal Pathways
for Refugees in France
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) considers that two million refugees worldwide are in need of resettlement from a first country of asylum to a new country of asylum, where they can access a pathway towards integration. Since 2008, and within a European framework since 2015, France has contributed to this international solidarity effort.
